Training Updates

Date: Wednesday, 19th Aug 2020 | Category: COVID-19, General, Training

It is essential that we provide safeguarding training.

As a result we have to look at how and when we can do this.

We expect all new to role staff to attend safeguarding training, but how in the current climate do we do that ?

The answer is we go virtual, and we will do this for as many sessions as we can.

You will need to update via this website and look on the Multi-Agency Training Page.

We have already managed to take some sessions online and have published these on the Learning Gateway.

We will not be able to offer the full range of specialist training that we would normally provide.

In relation to the core training offer – “Working Together to Safeguard Children”.

These three days are the base knowledge you should attain before progressing to the more specialist training offers, and in Brighton and Hove are mandatory for all new to role staff.

Therefore we have arranged a temporary solution for the foreseeable future.

Staff will need to check dates via the gateway as they become available and understand that attendance numbers will be reduced, so we will endeavour to run more dates to compensate.

We would ask that you understand that delivery in this way is new to all of us, and we may have a few glitches when we start.
