December Safeguarding Updates

Date: Wednesday, 16th Dec 2020 | Category: General, Training

We are heading towards the end of another year.

A year that has been, one of the most difficult and stressful.

Now, with schools finishing for Christmas, families trying to work out who they can see – or not!

It is especially important that we, as safeguarding partners, professionals and as parents or carers, keep alert.

We are going back into another period of time where young people and children, can be hidden from sight.

Young people are using their social media and the internet to keep in touch with friends and family.

As a result, we all need to think about what they are viewing and who they talk too.

Even over Christmas, there will be those that try to encourage youngsters to do something, they would not normally do.

As a parent or professional, you can get support and find ways to explain the potential dangers of the internet.

If you have a concern for a child living in your household, or for any other young person, you need to tell someone.
