ICON – Calling all Dad’s

Alongside our colleagues from East and West Sussex, we have recently launched the ICON project.

 ” Babies Cry you can Cope”

As a result, we are trying to make sure that parents and carers across our county can access the same support message.

We would also like staff to encourage, fathers or secondary carers to consider completing a short survey.

Safeguarding starts from the day a child is conceived.

If we can strive to get all parents/carers for that child onboard from “Day One”.

We can make it a safer place for them to be in when they arrive.

“Safeguarding is Everyone’s Responsibility”

Is the message we have all endorsed.

So lets make sure we are asking everyone who has contact with a small child or baby to take their responsibilities seriously.

Let’s all be ICON’s for these children, so they can stay safe.
