Incels – A Deep Dive into Extreme Misogyny

Why is the BHSCP providing this course?

This two-hour, online, webinar is for anyone working with children and young people and will delve into the culture of incel ideology and misogyny. You will explore the definitions and meanings behind these terms and gain insight into who is attracted to this extreme form of contempt and prejudice against women and girls. You will also discuss the core beliefs and concepts that drive these attitudes, identify key risk factors, and explore available referral options.

Target Audience:

This course is for professionals in children’s services who may work with families to understand the misogynist language used by incels and how to safeguard.
