Adultification: Addressing Barriers to Safeguarding Children Effectively & Appropriately

Why is the BHSCP providing this course?

This 3-hour webinar is for frontline professionals to consider unconscious bias and stereotypes and how to address them within ourselves as well as challenge them. The adultification of children will be explored, as well as victim blaming language, the importance of using the correct terminology and understand challenges faced by Black, Asian and Global Majority Communities.

 

Target Audience:

Members of staff, who work predominantly with children, young people and their families, parents or carers, and who would potentially contribute to the assessment, intervention and reviewing the safeguarding needs for a child or young person, where there are safeguarding concerns, and or potential risks.
