Exploitation in it’s many forms, is still happening.
It has a serious impact on the children and young people we all strive to look after and keep safe.
It is clear that those who wish to exploit, are looking at different ways to this.
Young people from all backgrounds and social groups can be vulnerable and isolated.
Those that seek to exploit, are having to diversify and change their methods to draw in young people.
As a result of our current isolation caused by COVID19 young people are looking at ways to engage with the “outside” world.
Young people are open to all forms of exploitation and potential radicalisation.
As safeguarding professionals and parents we need to know how to combat or disrupt this potential risk to our youngsters.
