Neglect – Everyone’s Responsibility

“Here come’s Summer” (an older song, from 1959).

But actually as we move into the official summer holidays, for a lot of us it just seems to the same old thing.

The days all seem to have blended into one.

We are all constantly trying to think of things to do, to make life more bearable.

As a result it would be easy to “Neglect” our responsibilities to protect children and young people from harm.

As a parent or grandparent, or as the professional looking after a family.

We must still find ways to keep looking for any sign that something is wrong.

Is there is a new baby in the house and are you are struggling to cope or offer advice, think about the ICON project.

If you are aware that tensions in a household are strained and in need of advice, there is still help available

We all need a little help now and again, don’t be afraid to ask.

Please all take time to enjoy the weather and some time off, if you can.

It is important to look after yourselves, this could reduce the risks to children.

But remember “Safeguarding is Everyone’s Responsibility”
